Privacy Policy
Effective August 20, 2026 · saveourhousing.org, operated by community volunteers in Mendocino County ("Save Our Housing," "we").
What we collect
Only what you choose to give us: your name, town or community, email address, phone number, petition signature, questionnaire responses, questions you submit, volunteer sign-up details, and voicemail messages you leave on our phone line.
How we use it
- To send you the updates you signed up for (email, and text messages if you opted in).
- To present petition signatures and questionnaire results to the Mendocino County Board of Supervisors as part of the community Housing Amnesty effort.
- To have a volunteer respond to your questions or voicemail.
What we never do
- We never sell your information.
- Text messaging opt-in data and consent — including your mobile phone number — are never shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or any other purpose.
- We never publish your name, contact details, question, or story on this site or anywhere public.
- We never share your identity or location with the county unless you expressly give us permission.
Text messages (SMS)
If you check the box agreeing to receive text updates, we will text you occasional news about the Housing Amnesty effort — typically 2 to 6 messages per month; message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP at any time to stop receiving texts, or HELP for help. See our SMS Terms & Conditions.
How long we keep things
Voicemail recordings and their transcripts are deleted within 30 days. Call records are deleted within 90 days, and callers' phone numbers are removed as soon as their call is resolved. Petition, questionnaire, and signup records are kept for the duration of the campaign.
